William P. Smythe, CFA, is the founder and Chief Investment Officer of Alpha Prime Capital (founded 2018). With previous experience at a long-short equity hedge fund and exposure to multiple traditional investment management firms (Morgan Stanley, Wells Fargo Advisors, the Glenmede Trust Company) both as a client and/or employee throughout his life, he noticed many inefficiencies in the investment management industry that could be easily corrected and wanted to provide clients with a superior investment strategy that no one else seems to offer. His clientele primarily consists of high net worth individuals and institutions. Outside of his work at Alpha Prime Capital, William is an executive board member of the CFA Society Miami chapter, former rugby player, Texas Hold’em Poker player, member of the Zeta Beta Tau fraternity, alumnus of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce’s 2018-2019 Leadership Miami® program, and DJ (soundcloud.com/williamsmythe-apc/pennygetdown).
